What does Good Friday mean exactly? And also what does Easter Monday mean. Theses days are celebrated internationally and that is meaning they are accepted by everyone. In fact, even the South Asia themselves recognize these days. Let me then just explain a little bit what these days mean. It is fundamentally believed that Christ died on Friday just before sun set, then Joseph of Arimathius, requested his body for burial so that he could not hung on the cross on a Sabbath. That is biblical, not my opinion. That hints that, the Sabbath was just about to begin. Critically I would then say that the Sabbath was suppose to be from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Then, we are told that early in the morning on Sunday, Mary Magdalene and another Mary, went to the grave site to anoint Jesus body with good oil and perfume which they actually boat on Friday but they kept them till Sunday so that they could rest on the Sabbath as the bible dictates in Exodus chapter 20 verses 8 through 11 and I paraphrase, `remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six day shall thou labor and do all thy work, but the Sabbath day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, in it thou shall not do any work……. `.you can finish the text from your bible or if you don’t have one, you can Google the text. Since the holiday falls on a Sunday, that is Easter, it has to be pushed to Monday just for observation by everyone. Here comes my question now; why do we then keep Sunday as a Sabbath yet the bible is very clear about the day .I am wondering why over 70% of the world’s Christian population are observing Sunday instead of Saturday. I know most people give excuses among them being that, that there are bills to be paid and thus they can’t observe Saturday. My challenge is, if Christ is anything in anybodies life, he should be everything. Besides, it is God who gives us the strength to work and also out of His provision, we get the jobs that we are holding. And also, even during those times of Christ, there were bills to be paid, so if anyone would cling to that excuse, he should think of another one and make Christ the center of his life. THINK ABOUT THIS.

With the black history month gone, I felt thrilled to share this nugget with my dear readers, and jut to pose a moment of soul searching on this matter. Have you wondered why God created some people black some Hispanic, some white and so on? I’ve you tried to imagine the world with everything may be black. I mean everything, from living things to non living things; or may be everything green, soil, grass, human being all green. How boring would that world be? This simply, gives me two reasons as to why God diversified in His work. First and far most; because God is a God of humor; He wanted us to enjoy our stay in the world and get to recognize His exixtstance. The world would be not complete without diversity. Another point that I strongly believe on is that, God made different nationalities to see what our reactions was going to be towards each other. May be He made it for a special measurements just to see if we could really love someone who is different from us. This strongly puts out the notion of inequality and superiority. The bible does not say that God made Adam more intelligent or superior than Eve, the only person that the bible makes mention to have been wise and there shall never be someone wise than him is Solomon, the son of David. His wisdom and knowledge he didn’t acquire through favoritism but because he asked for only wisdom. Knowledge was added to him to prove Gods plan for human being, which He states clearly in the book of Jeremiah chapter 29:11. Ok this is my point view; you can give your comment.

When you are given an opportunity to change your past, what would you change? In most cases when such a question is posed to us, we hurriedly single out the misfortunes that have befallen us. That is the hardships we may have gone through. At times we major on thinking of correcting the mistakes that we did in life. That is why, if wishes were horses, then this poor young man from the Oyiers lineage would own the whole world. I have come to believe that if my past can be replayed to me; and asked to delete what I would have not loved in it, I would luck what to delete .This does not mean that there are no negatives in my past, in fact the negatives outweigh the, positive. It is because I am who I am due to my past. What do you mean men? Let me give you a flashback of my life, and believe you, me, these things are true. I was born in a very poor family in Kenya. Well, poverty is comparative depending on your environment. What Americans would call poverty, I term reaches, for somebody would say he is poor, yet he can afford food on a daily basis. Food was a scarcity in my family because my late mother was just a subsistence farmer and my dad was a primary teacher who enjoyed kissing his bottle of illicit brew, called, ``changaa`` in my native language. Those who drink changaa are hardly sober, and you will agree with me that if 90% of your daily life you are under influence, you can never think big. That is why I hate alcohol and I never hung out with drunkards. The first time I wore shoes was in high school. This is because\, all schools in Kenya have uniform and so, shoes were part of the school uniform. This was at the age of 16.The rest of my l early life I wore sleepers made from tires. When it rained, I had to go to school bear footed because no one can walk on a black cotton soil on sandals. I don’t regret this part of life, because, hardship has taught me to be conservative. This has stigmatized my life to be about asking yourself, what is best at now and what would be best in future such that I make decisions with a lot of future focus. If I will ever forget God in life, that means I shall have forgotten how far He has lead me.
